Gränna Elderly Home is centrally located in beautiful Gränna, close to shops, pharmacies, health centers, the harbor promenade, and good walking paths.

The residence consists of six units divided into a short-term unit, two dementia units, and three units for special housing, totaling 61 apartments. We have a beautiful courtyard with flower beds, green areas, and a greenhouse that is frequently used during the summer months.

Your New Job

As a care assistant with us, you will have a varied and meaningful job working in one of our somatic or dementia units. You will work with personal care, service tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and shopping, social activities, and medication management. You will actively work with case management, implementation plans, and social documentation. Your duties also include providing care and support at the end of life and palliative care.

In your work, you will adopt a health-promoting approach focusing on strengthening the individual's own abilities and resources. The goal is for each person to experience their everyday life as understandable, manageable, and meaningful. In every encounter, you will focus on the healthy aspects and the opportunities that exist within each individual.

In addition to your relationship with our residents, you will collaborate closely with colleagues, coordinators, and unit managers. You will also have contact with nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and relatives in your work.

Your Competence

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant. If you are a caregiver with extensive experience in care and support work, this can substitute for the educational requirement. Previous experience in care and support is an advantage.

Since contact with residents, relatives, documentation, and reading information relevant to the job is central to your position, you must be proficient in Swedish in speech, writing, and reading comprehension. You should also have good computer skills as documentation is done on a computer. The job also requires physical mobility as situations may arise that cannot be predicted and must be resolved in a manner suited to the situation.

Good to Know

The recruitment concerns four permanent full-time positions with immediate start or as agreed. Working hours are scheduled for days and evenings, both weekdays and weekends. We work with joint planning, which means that work in all units may occur.

For those who do not live in Gränna or the surrounding area, it is advantageous to have a B driver's license and access to a car, as bus connections are poorer during evenings and weekends.
